We are committed to creating one of the best cultures for our team members to be a part of and are currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of a Payroll Manager, specifically for our Hospitality Division.Summary: The Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring each location meets its payroll requirements by ensuring accurate and timely payroll submission for all employees. The Payroll Manager will also be responsible for accurately preparing the general ledger entries for any payrolls processed and will report to the Payroll Director.Essential Functions:Maintains, reviews, and acquires approvals for time and attendance records throughout the hospitality properties.Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Prepares bi-weekly payrolls and processes requests for onsite checks.Prepares the general ledger entries for each payroll processed for Finance to import into the accounting software.Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.Ensure supervisory approval of timecard discrepancies.Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve payroll disputes from employees.Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.Processes and maintains accurate records of all wage garnishments and child support orders.Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy.Cooperate with different departments to increase payroll service performance.Performs other duties as assigned.Payroll Specialist Skills and Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; including Excel.Time management, Works under deadline pressureReporting SkillsVerbal Communication, Organization, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, ThoroughnessMultitaskingAbility to build and develop relationships.Ability to execute daily tasks with minimal supervision.Experience in California and Oregon payroll is a PLUS!Experience in Ceridian Dayforce is a PLUS!Qualifications/Requirements:Three to Five years related experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, math and computer skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to respond to common inquiries or complaints/questions/concerns from employees or regulatory agencies.Key Accountabilities Include:Drive best practices throughout benefits, payroll & tax activities.Ensure functions and activities comply with all required federal/state/local requirements.Ensure timely resolution to critical payroll issues.Drive payroll initiatives and objectives aligned with people operation strategies and organizational goals.Ensure payroll and timekeeping system configuration and maintenance is in compliance.Ensure accuracy of year-end W-2 forms and monthly/quarterly/annual tax filing.
